This second video shows how schools can take measures to create a welcoming and safe environment for immigrant and refugees students. They provide the families with members of the staff that can speak the family’s home language. They also educate the teachers with resources that address trauma related to immigration. They promote parent and family engagement letting them come to the school to share their experiences. The video promotes diversity as an asset, all languages are welcome, and the importance of knowing the culture of the population you teach.
